CUBBIES: Preschool
Fun – and lots of it!
Awana is fun with a purpose – to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Cubbies will enjoy games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities each night in Awana. They will get to know the special characters of Cubbies: Cubbie Bear, Luv E. Lamb, Ern E. Elephant, Zip E. Zebra and Gigi Giraffe. These fun characters will take preschoolers on a thrilling journey through God's Word. The will learn key basic truths about God, Jesus, salvation and the Bible.
SPARKS: K through 2nd Grade
Fun learning = results
Sparks club meetings combine learning with fun to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for churched and unchurched kids alike.
The very first night clubbers attend Sparks they receive a Entrance Booklet that introduces them to the program and begins teaching them basic Bible truths.
Once the clubber completes the Entrance Booklet, he or she will be eligible to purchase a handbook and vest.
The theme of the first handbook is "Jesus in the past". The second handbook theme is "Jesus in the present". The theme of the third handbook is "Jesus in the future".
All three handbooks include a nature motif, starting with Skipper and ending with Climber.
TRUTH & TRAINING CLUB: 3rd through 6th
The very first night clubbers attend T&T, they receive the Start Zone, the starting point for all T&T clubbers. Start Zone is a small booklet that explains what it means to trust Christ as Savior.
Once a clubber completes the Start Zone, he or she will be eligible to purchase a handbook and uniform.
The T&T program has four handbooks called The Ultimate Adventure Series. Clubbers progress through these levels at their own pace. Let's take the first handbook as an example.
In Book One we focus on four questions:
Why did God give us the Bible?
Who is God?
Who is the Lord Jesus?
How does God want me to live my life?
Each of the four questions has eight answers. Clubbers must give the answers to the questions (can be in their own words) and recite backup verses from the Bible.
Described above is Handbook Time. There are two (2) other segments of our Awana Meetings. Game Time and Council Time. Game time is a fun and eventful time full of competition and excitement. Council Time is where we gear down the evening with a guest speaker or a message from the gospel.
